The Visiotech Stab Resistant products are made from Saintfabric®. This new flexible stab-resistant composite material is using patented technology developed over a three-year period. The material is stab-resistant, cut-resistant, lightweight, and breathable, and is designed for use in personal protective products. The flexible stab-resistant clothing meets the EN388 and GA68-2008 standards.

Saintfabric® fibers Patent No.ZL201810458195.2  The Saintfabric® fibers are randomly arranged and intertwined to form a tight and irregular web structure and then the layers of the web structure are overlapped. The point of a knife is bound and blocked by the layers of fiber during the penetration process, unable to push away all the filaments to fully penetrate to the wearer’s body.

What is the EN388 standard? EN388 is a European safety standard for gloves providing hand protection against mechanical risks. The EN388 standard has become the benchmark in performance ratings for the glove manufacturing and safety clothing industry. This standard involves six specific tests that are designed to assess the performance of the fabric/layers.  

Please Note* The Saintfabric products are not cut proof, however this technology helps to limit the cutting action of a knife. Saintfabric front and back panels covers the shoulders and the front and back of the torso, these panels are integrated into the shirt for added protection in these areas and due to the Saintfabric technology, it can provide protection from full penetration of a sharp object, therefore, garments made from this material will help to limit the full penetration and hence added protection that could save one from what could be a more serious injury.
